Reference Services
Librarians are available to assist students and faculty seeking information or needing assistance with research. The Reference Desk, located on the first floor in the East Reading Room (to the right of the main entrance) is staffed continuously during library hours. Assistance from the Reference Department can be requested in person, by telephone or by e-mail. Librarians will respond to requests in a timely manner and, if necessary, refer questions to the team members with the most expertise in the subject area of the query.
Librarians are also available to provide scheduled library instruction sessions and to help compile bibliographies or study guides.
Reference Facilities
Computer terminals with Internet access are available for consultation of the Library’s web site, on-line catalog, subscribed databases as well as other web sources. These terminals are intended for research and personal use is discouraged. They are located in the first floor foyer, and in the East Reading Rooms on the first floor, second and third floors. Printing capability is available on the first and second floor and can be activated by the same photocopy card as the copy machines. A microfilm or microfiche reader-printer is located in the first floor West Reading Room.
