Audiovisual Classroom Audiovisual Instructional Facilities
  • Capacity: 25-30
  • Locations: Engineering Building (rooms: 32E, 274, 107), Brooklyn Library (rooms: MMA, MMB), Higgins Hall (rooms: HHC032, HHC033)
  • Description: Multi-Media Services oversees 7 equipped classrooms for the purpose of viewing DVDs, 16mm films, 35mm slides, & VHS tapes, as well as the use of teleconferencing, digital projection and other audiovisual equipment. Individuals and small groups may also reserve a viewing station on the Library’s Lower Level for screening DVDs or VHS tapes. Large classes and sponsored organizations may request to use the Alumni Reading Room, Engineering 371, Higgins Hall Center 035, or Memorial Hall. To reserve any of these spaces, contact Multi-Media Services.


Alumni Reading Room Alumni Reading Room
  • Capacity: 45-50
  • Location: Brooklyn Library
  • Description: The Alumni Reading Room, located on the 3rd floor of the Brooklyn Campus Library, may be reserved for special events, meetings and classes. It is outfitted for audiovisual presentations. For more information or to reserve this room, contact an administrator in Multi-Media Services.


Memorial Hall Auditorium Memorial Hall Auditorium
  • Capacity: 500
  • Location: Memorial Hall
  • Description: Now a designated New York City landmark, Memorial Hall is a large auditorium/lecture hall built in 1928 in memory of Mary Richardson Pratt, the wife of the Institute's founder, Charles Pratt. This facility is intended for academic and ceremonial activities requiring large seating capacity. A minimum audience of 100 is required for booking. Engineering 371 Engineering 371
  • Capacity: 170
  • Location: Engineering Building
  • Description: Located on the third floor of the Engineering building, adjacent to Campus Audio Visual Services, this lecture space is equipped for audiovisual presentations, voice reinforcement, digital and slide projection. The room is used for events and class lectures. For more information or to reserve this lecture hall, contact an administrator in Multi-Media Services.


Higgins Hall Auditorium Higgins Hall Auditorium
  • Capacity: 250
  • Location: Higgins Hall Center Section
  • Description: The auditorium opened in 2005 and was designed by Steven Holl Architects & Rogers Marvel Architects. New York magazine named it one of the five best new buildings in New York City for 2005 and the building has received two major building awards since its opening: a 2006 Building Brooklyn Award from The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and a Lucy G. Moses Preservation Project Award for 2005 from The New York Landmarks Conservancy. Higgins Hall is located one block off the main campus in Brooklyn, at 61 St. James Place, at the corner of Lafayette Avenue. The auditorium is equipped for audiovisual presentations, voice reinforcement, digital projection and slide projection. Conference Room (Manhattan) Conference Room (Manhattan)
  • Capacity: 12
  • Location: Pratt Manhattan Library
  • Description: The conference and study room is equipped with wired reading tables with outlets for Internet access. Users must provide their own Ethernet cable. The room serves primarily as a quiet area for students, but is also available as a conference space by appointment. Contact the Circulation Desk at (212) 647-7546 to schedule the space. The conference and study room is not available as a classroom.
