Borrowing Items from the Pratt Institute Libraries

The Library circulation policies support the Libraries' mission by insuring accountability of library materials and insuring their availability to members of the Institute community and other library users on an equitable basis.

Service to users is the first priority of the Library.

  • Pratt faculty, students and staff members are permitted to borrow Library materials given they have a current, validated Pratt ID card.
  • Pratt faculty, students and staff members are permitted to borrow Library materials given they have submitted a signed Library Registration Form to the Library Circulation desk.
  • To check out Library materials, patrons must present their valid Pratt ID card to the circulation desk clerk at the time of check out.
  • When borrowing Library materials patrons agree to abide by the assigned due dates and to return the materials in good order.

Failure to meet these conditions may result in fines and/or the loss of borrowing privileges.

***Patrons CANNOT check out items using someone else's ID.***
