E-books are available through many database platforms. Some of them can be accessed just like e-journals. Others require you to set up an account to use and the e-books are checked out as if they're print books.

Electronic editions of books are available for reading online in the following databases:

GALE Virtual Reference Library

Project MUSE

The EBSCO eBook collection currently has a collection of titles related to environmental science and sustainability. To use the EBSCO eBook platform, you can find individual titles in PrattCat or browse the titles through the link on our Databases page. You can read the item online just like with other databases. If you want to read the e-book offline, you'll need to sign in and create an EBSCO account in order to download the book. Once you've signed in, you'll be able to download the title. You'll need to have Adobe Digital Editions installed in order to read the title offline.

More details on using the EBSCO eBook collection can be found in this guide.
